No, it's not that kind of a post.
This begins day 1 of my 1st attempt at blogging. Please excuse any electro-social (English teacher, such is my right) faux paux I may commit as I'm a verifiable newb to doing this. I decided to create a blog based on several disjointed, yet pertinent influences: my wife's obsession with reading others' blogs, the movie Jules & Julia (don't knock it, it was a good movie), & my overwhelming desire to have people listen to what I have to say, as evidenced by my career choice, desire to become a published author, & your current activities. I must admit, while daunting, this is rather liberating.
I assume that at the point in the process, anyone reading a new blog would want to know some personal information about its author. To be completely honest, I had to take a moment to deliberate if I should just ramble in a protentious fashion or appeal to your desires. I've decided to spend the next 55 characters in a diatribe eloquating the importance of the 1980's film genre: it does count as a genre & it will forever be awesome. Ok, that's out of my system.
I'm a 29 year old public high school English teacher who loves to run, married to a 26 year old elementary school teacher who loves to craft. I like classic rock, but will listen to nearly anything dependant upon my mood & company, read primarily fantasy adventure fiction, & have begun writing 4 vastly different novels in since my time in college, none of which I have gotten past the first few chapters. I like sunsets & long walks on the beach & use of the '&' sign. Also, I'm a firm believer that while good things will happen to good people, you do get what you deserve, & everything does happen for a reason, I also know that this world isn't fair or logical. I'd like a dedicated group to follow my blog, a new pair of running shoes, & a freshmen class that stays on task; someone please tell Santa for me.
